So people running Linux are better off here, too. I read that QEMU allows emulating arm hardware architectures, so it should be possible to run android there. ![]() There used to be some sort of support for X86 architectures in Android, if this would be mature and easy to use, this would be the way to go. I doubt a lot that VirtualBox supports that, though I haven't looked this up, but this is extremely unlikely. VirtualBox should support platforms like amd64, X86, IA64, but for typical android you would need an arm32 or arm64 emulator. ![]() The issue is that VirtualBox is emulating specific hardware which is of a different type than what android phones are running.
